How it works
This tool inspects a site's response headers, script tags, and page markup for fingerprints left behind by common CMS platforms, JavaScript frameworks, CDNs, server software, and analytics tools — the same approach used by tools like Wappalyzer and BuiltWith.
It's handy for researching a competitor's stack, checking what a client's site is actually built on before a project, or spotting an outdated CMS version that might need a security update.
Frequently asked questions
Can this detect every technology a site uses?
No — it can only identify technologies that leave a detectable fingerprint in response headers, script tags, or page markup. Backend languages, internal tools, and anything that doesn't expose a client-visible signature won't show up.
Why does it show a different CMS than what I know the site uses?
Sites sometimes leave behind fingerprints from a previous platform (old script includes, cached headers) after migrating, or use a headless CMS that doesn't expose the typical detectable markers of the platform actually running things.
