How it works

Does this check links on the whole website or just one page?
It checks the links found on the specific page you enter — for a full-site audit, you'd need to run it against each important page separately.
A link shows broken, but it works when I click it — why?
Some servers block automated/non-browser requests (bot protection) and return an error status to scanners while serving the page normally to real browsers. This is a false positive worth spot-checking manually.
Do broken links get indexed by Google before I catch them?
Google can crawl and record broken links quickly, especially on frequently-crawled pages, which is exactly why catching them early with a scan like this — rather than waiting for Search Console to flag them — saves time.
