How it works

This tool scans a page's initial HTML for the script signatures of well-known trackers — Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, and others — and reports which ones it finds, grouped by what they're generally used for (analytics, advertising, session recording).

It only sees what loads on first page load, so trackers that only appear after an interaction (like accepting a cookie banner) may not show up. Think of it as a quick first read of a site's tracking footprint, not a full audit.

Frequently asked questions

Why didn't it detect a tracker I know is on the site?

This tool only reads what's present in the page's initial HTML — trackers loaded dynamically after a cookie-consent click, or injected via a tag manager after page load, won't appear in a first-load scan.

Is a site with trackers automatically untrustworthy?

No — analytics tools like Google Analytics are extremely common and mostly benign for understanding traffic. The more relevant question is whether a site discloses its tracking in a privacy policy and gives you real control over it.

Can this tool block trackers on my browser?

No, it only reports what it finds on a given page. Browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger are built for blocking; this tool is for auditing and awareness.
